THE ARCHOSAUR ASYLUM VOL.9: The 1:35 scale "The Rexoning" Realized

Well, folks, I am excited because I finally got a chance to get some good photos and a turntable video of the 1:35 "The Rexoning" battling T. rex diorama. In my mad dash to fill orders, I wound up with some crappy, hastily procured pictures that I did not want to use.
This time, however, I am pleased with the results. You are looking at number 4 of 10 and the 1:68 scale desktop version, which goes out gratis to the first five orders of each model size (1:35 and 1:20).
Orders for the 1:20 scale version will not begin fulfillment until early November. Keep an eye out for that... I cannot wait to see those characters in the flesh. Each rex will be 600 mm measured by the spine. That's about two feet. It will be a big diorama for sure.
Anyway, look at some stills from the 1:35. As always, I am blown away by the detail retention of the .025 mm layer height setting. Down below is a link to the turntable video on our Youtube channel. There's even a ton of detail in that little guy.
"Nessa," the dracorex is highlighted in red in this shot just so you can pick her out from the background. If you don't know the story yet, she's making a mad dash to escape the crushing weight of the combined rexes. Then there's "Josiah," the stygimoloch who's also making a run for it. Although not available yet, the plan is to offer Josiah as a limited edition 1:10 scale model shortly.
Some details on the base. If you look right under "La Tore's" back (the T.rex), you'll see a tiny snapping turtle hanging out.
So, I hear that whenever I put a video in one of these blogs, people leave the blog to watch the video and don't come back to read the rest of the blog. So, I will switch gears for a second; then we will return to the video turntable.

1) Keep an Eye out for the Fall edition of Prehistoric Times Magazine. It is a magazine always worth reading, but in this issue, Mike will review one of Ancient Era Artistry's 1:35 scale, "Right Where it Ends" torosaurus combatant diorama model kits. I am dying to see what he thought. Subsequently, in the winter issue, Sean Kotz will be showing off his painted version of the kit, and discussing his experience while painting. I cannot wait to see his work!
2) Check out the incredible, original paintwork by Javier Peces of @Dinocomissions (his Instagram account) on our 1:35 "Scent in the Air" model kit.
Javier and I are collaborating on a project. He created this fantastic illustration of a velociraptor, and I am currently working on a 3d model based on and inspired by it. When it is ready, we will likely offer a package deal for the model and a print of the illustration. I've been pumping a lot of time into this one because I am very excited to see the two pieces of artwork together.
